Amazon has announced that they will be starting a CDN (Content Delivery Network - think Limelight & Brightcove) service that integrates nicely with their S3 service. you can read about it s little more on the AWS Blog, but basically this means that small organizations (including churches) can offer their video and audio content like the big boys do…and not have to sign any contracts or pay and arm/leg for the service (Amazon will only charge based on what you use…like their other services). We use S3 at CCV, and it will be interesting to see the kind of service/application that will be offered with the new CDN from Amazon.
